Paulino Auto Glass replaces side windows and rear glass at our Bronx location on West Mount Eden Avenue, most within the same day since we stock common tempered glass. We vacuum out the broken pieces, fit new glass to your exact vehicle, and reconnect defroster tabs on rear windows that use them — typically a one- to two-hour job start to finish.

Side and rear windows break differently than windshields. Instead of laminated glass that cracks and holds, these are tempered panels that shatter into thousands of little cubes — all over your seats, your carpet, and down inside the door. A break-in on a Soundview side street or a stray ball in a parking lot can leave you with a car full of glass and a wide-open window. That's the situation we clean up several times a week.
Our job isn't just dropping in a new pane. We vacuum the cabin and the door cavity so stray shards don't keep turning up for months, then fit tempered glass cut for your specific car. If the window rides on a regulator, we make sure it travels smoothly up and down. On rear glass, we reconnect the defroster grid and the antenna leads where they're built in. When we're finished, the window works and the inside is clean.
“Took us in last minute and knocked the job out right away. Really thankful, really easy transaction.”
Every glass job we do carries a lifetime workmanship warranty — leaks, wind noise or trim issues from our install are fixed free for as long as you own the vehicle.
A broken side window is one of those problems that can't wait — your car's exposed to rain and anyone walking by. That's why we move fast on these and try hard to fit you in the same day, the way we did for the customer who needed a last-minute job knocked out. You get the glass replaced, the mess cleaned up, and the window rolling right, without your car sitting open overnight.

If we stock your glass, often the same day — many door and rear windows are common sizes we keep around. The install itself usually runs one to two hours including cleanup. If your car needs a less common piece, we can board up the opening to keep it secure while the glass comes in, usually a day or two.
We do our best to get it all. Tempered glass shatters into tiny pieces that scatter into seat tracks, door panels, and carpet, so we vacuum the cabin and the inside of the door thoroughly. A stray fleck can still surface weeks later — that's the nature of it — but the vast majority comes out before you drive off.
It should. When your original back glass has a defroster grid or an embedded antenna, we reconnect those leads as part of the install so they keep functioning. We'll test the defroster before you leave when the setup allows. If your rear glass has other built-in features, mention them when you book so we get the right part.
That's your call, but a few notes: comprehensive insurance often covers glass from vandalism or theft, and a police report number can help your claim go smoothly. Either way, we can start on the repair right away — you don't have to wait on paperwork to get the car secured. Bring whatever details you have and we'll work with it.
