Castle Hill work tends to arrive in two shapes. One is the slow kind, a chip somebody picked up months ago that finally ran across the glass on a cold morning. Before any of that we deal with the insurer. Bring the carrier name and policy number, or the claim number if you have already reported it, and we open the glass claim, bill them directly, and tell you the deductible while you are still deciding. Drivers often assume a claim for a broken window is not worth the trouble. Castle Hill Avenue runs south from the Westchester Avenue elevated toward the point at the water, crossed by Zerega Avenue, Ellis Avenue and Randall Avenue. Everything funnels onto the Bruckner here, and expressway merging is where most Castle Hill windshields get hit, because you accelerate onto a lane full of trucks and take whatever the tires lift. The industrial blocks near Zerega add their own grit, since vehicles rolling out of yards carry stone off the lots and onto the road. Then there is the water.
